Bootleg Beatles winter tour
23rd November 2005
Today sees the start of the Bootleg Beatles' 2005 Winter Tour. Comprising of over 40 concerts in a three-and-a-half month period this is set to be the boys' most exciting tour yet, kicking off tonight at Leicester's De Montfort Hall.
As the first and most successful Beatles tribute act in the world, the group has conveyed the authentic Beatles experience and music for 26 years. The live show is in four parts, tracing the musical journey of the Beatles from Liverpool Cavern to Apple Rooftop.
For the first time ever, during the 2005 Winter Tour, every song will feature multi-media scene-setting visuals and archive footage of the time. Along with orchestral backing musicians, the band will perform many songs that were never actually played live on stage -- such as Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields Forever and A Day In The Life.
